% telnet 127.0.0.1 25 ではどうなりますか。

想像ですが、/etc/hostのlocalhostのエントリが
::1          localhost localhost.my.domain
#127.0.0.1   localhost localhost.my.domain
こんなまふうになっているような気がします。

根拠) 127.0.0.1が有効だと↓リトライするから。

|Trying 127.0.0.1...
|Connected to localhost.my.domain

また、[postfix-jp: 1141]のメールにある

これは何かの間違いじゃないでしょうか。もし本当だったら先にOSを
4.11-RELEASEにいれなおした方がいいかも。

こいつも ports で入れ直して試してみては？

ふと思ったのですが、25番を本当にpostfixがLISTENしてますか？
% sockstat | grep :25 で確認してください。
